Characters/Pairings: snarky stubborn women with a History (both are 35+)
Rating & Warnings: G, or perhaps T because flirting and expletives. None of the Ao3 Big Four content labels apply; there is brief reference to first aid and implied animal endangerment.

Notes: I am primarily looking for a "narrative flow" reader's feedback on a) the character interactions and dialogue, and b) the background worldbuilding. SPaG welcome but not my focus; I'm more looking to identify places where the exposition is too clunky or the emotional transitions don't work.
