Hello! I've caught up on tags again to prepare for the new year.

Another reminder that I won't add a tag for a specific fandom until at least two different people post about that fandom on the comm. If you don't see your fandom in the tag list, you're proably looking for a catch-all tag:
  • fandom: animanga series
  • fandom: books (other)
  • fandom: movies (other)
  • fandom: none/original fiction
  • fandom: nonfiction
  • fandom: tv shows (other)
  • fandom: video games (other)
  • fandom: webcomics (other)
  • fandom: web series (other)
  • fandom: western animation (other)
  • fandom: western comics (other)
I regularly go through the catch-all tags to see if there are any doubles that need to be moved to a tag of their own. If you want to get your own fandom tag faster, encourage your friends to use this comm too! :D

I've also added the new tag "fandom: star trek (reboot)", to try and differentiate the newer movies from the older tv series and movies. We've not yet had more than one person asking for betas in each individual star trek series, which is why they're still using the catch-all "fandom: star trek series."

If there's anything else I can do to make the comm's tag system easier to use, please let me know. Thank you for using [community profile] betaplease and happy new year! Please remember to tag your posts!
lexicalcrow: (Skyline Brum)

Fandoms: The Move RPS/Brum (1992)
Cast: Brum, werewolf!Carl Wayne, seer!Roy Wood, werewolf!FtM!Bev Bevan, werewolf!Ace Kefford, Trevor Burton
Pairings: Roy Wood/Trevor Burton, Carl Wayne/Bev Bevan, Bev Bevan/Ace Kefford
Length: 44.6k / 7 chapters + prologue/epilogue
Rating and Warnings: FRM/Mature/M15+; warnings for grumpy old men dealing (or not dealing) with post-apocalyptic trauma and one non-explicit sex scene that could be read as dubcon. Lots (and lots) of walking. May destroy your childhood.

Notes: This is a complete first draft, written for [community profile] apocalypsebang/[livejournal.com profile] apocalypsebang. It deals with post-apocalypse (zombies) survival and trauma, and follows on from Brum and the Apocalypse, which I wrote for [livejournal.com profile] apocabigbang last year. You don't have to have read the previous fic, though there are a few brief references to it in this current fic. Setting is AU!UK, covers late 2007-early 2008(ish).

I would appreciate a technical beta giving this a once-over to check story structure, plausibility, and coherency, just in case there's anything glaringly wrong with it. I think it's okay, but I could always do with another set of eyes just to make sure. It also needs to be stand-alone, so I'd really like to know if there's anything that I haven't fully explained. Obscure fandoms are obscure so I'm not expecting canon knowledge.

I also really need a Britpicker because I'm Australian and I'm not entirely confident I've picked out every mistake or got my geography correct. Familiarity with pub billiards a bonus, because I know I've messed up that scene. Also, I've just realised that my Australian brain forgot that Roy and Trevor spend half the fic walking across the southern part of England through the winter (*facepalm*) and obviously that will need to be fixed because I'm pretty sure I got all the weather wrong and they might be better off finding somewhere to camp for a while instead of pushing on. Any help with that would be appreciated.

Deadlines: Final draft is due on Jan 26th, 2013; I'd really like to get the fic beta'd before January if at all possible, though this is negotiable, given the time of year.
